[Case Study] Modifying a Stainless Steel Cart - Making Equipment Usable in Multiple Locations

Modified stainless steel cart - made portable for use in multiple locations!

At a machinery manufacturer, equipment that is jointly owned by multiple departments was being moved every time it was used. Since the equipment is heavy, moving it is very labor-intensive and time-consuming. They consulted us to see if there was a way to make it easier to move for more flexible operations. Issues: 1. The equipment is expensive, so it is shared and operated by multiple departments. 2. It is being moved on a cart, but due to its weight, loading and unloading require multiple people. 3. There is a risk of dropping or tipping the equipment when unloading from the cart, which could damage the equipment and pose a danger of injury to the workers.

Automotive parts dedicated transport cart (caster type) / cart with drawer mechanism

Dedicated transport cart for automotive parts (caster type) / cart with drawer mechanism

Automotive Parts Dedicated Transport Cart (Caster Type) / Cart with Drawer Mechanism ■□■Features■□■ ■Supplies parts to the production line by swapping the drawers of each tier. ■By removing the parts from the front half of the drawer and pushing it back, the drawer at the back comes to the front. ■Casters with 150mm wheels, 2 each of swivel and fixed types. ■The tiers consist of two sliding shelves: the upper shelf (back side) and the lower shelf (front side). When retrieving parts: take them from the front sliding shelf, and when it is empty, push it back. This will cause the sliding shelf at the back to come to the front, allowing for part retrieval. The opposite action is taken when loading parts. ■Regarding the part receiving jig, it was developed with the premise of being "easy to retrieve and secure during transport," through trial and error to determine the shape and position of the receiving part. ■The heater has many protrusions, making quality control during transport important, so it has been placed securely. ■For more details, please contact us.
